TLDR Asteroid Lore

This is Environment Containment hub 42 of the Nor Asteroid Belt.
These are resting areas for workers on the asteroid field to combat "miner's frenzy" a form of EEAD (enclosed environment affective disorder) in which workers feel extreme anxiety and mental stress from trapped inside lifeless rocks or underground, seeing no nature or sunlight. This containment hubs are so important for mental health of an asteroid community that they are placed within 2 hours' reach of any mining operation, and several may exist in the same residential area carved out from an asteroid. Nor-42 is large enough to walk around in, connecting several residential areas together. Energy barriers are put up occasionally while specimens are checked up on by veterinarians and biologists, or shipments are coming in from from the dock.
